Lane Hope Chest Serial Number Search
In 2007 we purchased a Lane Sectional sofa/loveseat recliner unit. The black mechanism under the bottom has broken. Related: We have tried repeatedly to get in touch with customer service since the framework has a lifetime warranty. Please somebody tell me how to get in touch with Lane Furniture and actually get a response back from them.
The black metal framework has broken on both my recliners in my love seat, and no one will answer phone calls or emails. We have emailed them over and over again, with no response. I will never buy Lane Furniture again. Product or Service Mentioned. I had a rivet shear off from my Lane sectional recliner.
Me, being handy and frugal, decided to fix it myself. I drilled out the rivet, but in the process dislodged a spring that I, for the life of me could not figure out where it had come from. So I googled Lane recliners looking for a schematic of my piece. I found this thread and the number for Lane. I called and was on hold for about 3 minutes. A nice woman answered and I started to explain my problem.
Oct 27, 2013 - On the underside of the piece you should also find a serial number. For example, our end table has the serial number: 063270 so our table was made on 07/23/60. Without a serial number, Lane cannot determine a date of production. 83511 serial number. 481606 style number. Lane chest Execellent condition on inside. Velvet and insurance sticker still like new. 693 satisfied customers. I contacted you earlier about a Lane cedar chest with serial. I contacted you earlier about a Lane cedar chest with serial number that didn't make sense if read backwards.
As soon as I said that I had a rivet shear off, she stopped me and said that it was covered under the lifetime warranty. She took my info and said she would send it out. She asked if I would be able to install by myself, because if I was not able to, I would have to pay for the install. It was a very painless experience. I would definitely buy a Lane product again.
This is very strange, however, 3 months ago I contacted the warranty phone number to report the seat base spring assembly on my 01407 style recliner had broken. It causes the seat bottom to lean and has no support when you sit on it. When I called, I was told this part is not warranteed, and it would cost $38.00 plus shipping for the spring!! Well, it kind of upset me because I was told when spending the $1300.00 for the chair it had a 'lifetime' warranty. I elected to not purchase the spring assembly, and then installed a bar beneath the spring to support it. Yesterday the mechanism to operate the footrest broke.
I looked to see if there was any way for me to repair it 'in place'. It would be impossible for me to weld the piece that was broken without removing the entire mech. I called the warranty people again and spoke with Ashley Arnold. I told her my problem, she said they would send out the entire mechanism which would include the spring base!! GO FIGURE EH!!! So if I get the mech. Replaced along with new spr:gr:zz z in ing base,,,Iam happy.
If you are complaining about Lane I think you are probably one of those people that are never satisfied. I just got of the phone with them (1-800-327-6944) Talked to Adrian and she is put in a order for an entire reclining mechanism (metal frame, springs, and bolts) for my 14 year old recliner free of charge. Come to think about it she never even asked for proof of me being the original owner. Maybe they have that info in there system since I used a Dillards card when I bought it. Dont know how you would be that kind of service. Hey Big Joe, very helpful info here.
If not then you have to use an USB to RS232 converter cable. Hyperterminal to test serial port number. Install the driver from the cd of USB-2-RS232 converter into your PC.
Glad I found it. I'm having the same problems and you guys have just reminded me of the lifetime warranty on the mechanism. We've been living with this leaned recliner and just living with it. Thinking about just buying another. Songs download free mp3 2017. Both of my end pieces on sofa recliner are broke.

Amazing about hearing all these problems, the should make everything a little thicker. Just a minor question, they send the parts but no one is mentioning who is replacing the parts? Is that free or the repairman will expect money?
